messie's 4.2 hacking guide resulted in a brick

    Hey gang.
I have a wiikey2 on my wii which has been running fine with most other games I put on it. I wanted to run New Super Mario Bros Wii on it though, so I upgraded to 4.2u with wiikey 1.3 firmware. When that didn't work, I followed the instructions in this thread to play NSMB using neogamma r7. I was successful (it's a good game!) but after powering off the console once and turning it back on I was greeted with "system files are corrupted" after 1 or 2 seconds of viewing the main menu. I haven't installed priiloader yet and I still have 4.2u--is there anything I can do at this point to save my wii?
    Thanks in advance.

Well, what do you know. Removing the disc made the wii start working normally again. Close call... I'm gonna install priiloader now while I have the chance.

Same thing happened to me...before my dvd drive broke. I went so far as to do a boot2 nand restore only have the same thing happen. I felt pretty silly when I found removing the disc fixed the problem.

I will have to remember this. Make sure you remove the disk first.
