3 Paritions on same USB HDD
I've got a 1TB USB HDD that I have partitioned as follows.....
500GB WBFS - Active and working great
100GB FAT32 - Wii cannot see it.
400GB NTFS - For movies for use ONLY on my Xbox360 and PS3.
My Wii cannot see anything except the WBFS partition, shouldn't it be able to see the FAT partition too?
Also when I connect the HDD to the Xbox or PS3, neither machine can see the NTFS partition!
How can I set up the drive so that my Wii can see both the WBFS and FAT partitions at the same time?
I would format the entire drive [so it gets rid of all partitions]. Then use EASUS Partition Manager [totally free software]. And make your 3 partitions with that. Make sure they are all assigned drive letters. WBFS must be first and active.
I've just completed using the EASUS software mate and it didn't work.
Initially I had formatted the entire drive using WBFS Manager, then using Windows disk Management I shrunk the WBFS partition and created 2 more partitions one FAT32 and the other NTFS.
Windows can see all partitions (but obviously it can't really see the WBFS partition unless I'm running WBFS Manager),so the NTFS and FAT partitions are alive and AFAIK healthy.
Anyway, I scrubbed all of it 20 minutes ago and started the process with EASUS but it hasn't made any difference.
Then there is something you are doing wrong, I only say that because I am using the same setup you are and did the same steps I have outlined before.
Try just two partitions, one WBFS and one FAT32 and see if it works that way.
I'll scrub the entire drive with FAT32 then start again with EASUS.
Thanks for your help.
