Hey everyone, avid Wii player here, looking to start an external hard drive for my Wii backups, any help or point in the right direction would be appreciated.

If you goto tutorials bar next to home and forums bar you will find a post from sticky.
Loading and Playing Wii Backup Games from USB HDD . follow these instructions and you should be good to go.

2009 Wii Serial numbers after LU3884XXXX and LEH2676XXXX have probably got the new D3-2 chip that prevents playing backup DVD's. They can still use original discs and USB loaders.

Followed the tutorials and now i am up and running with usb loader and my external hard drive, even have the NSMB working, only game I can't get to work is Mario & Sonic Olympic winter games, i know it is something about the IOS being outdated. I dl'd the scrubber and IOSpatcher but I still don't understand completely how those work.
