    External Hard Drive Issues

So I just picked up a Gigaware SATA Hard Drive Enclosure for my Seagate internal hard drive. Using Computer Management on my PC, I formatted it to NTFS. WBFS Manager won't format it to WBFS. When I plug it into my Wii and open USB Loader, it gives me a black screen. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help

Format your drive to FAT then WBFS.

@ BoroVC, Using Computer Management on Vista, it only gives me the option to format it to NTFS. Is there something else I could use to format it?

Easeus Partition Master if you are on a 32bit OS it's free.

    If 64bit get Paragon.

    Format to FAT32.

Also, why not use the latest wbfs manager, 3.01?

You may also want to make sure that the enclosure is compatible. In my sig is a link for a compatibility guide. It's more so the enclosure than the drive.

don't format it. Use disk manager and delete the partition you created, then make a new partition and give it a drive letter but this time when it asks you to format the partition select no. wbfs manager wont see it if its been formated. Wbfs will format the partition.

in wbfs 3.0, simply select the drive leter that you gave it and then hit the format button.

I'd like to know why you quoted my post? I did not say anything about formatting in that post?
