    USB GX Loader Freezes randomly

I just softmodded my wii. I used the most current versions of everything I could find ( IOS's, WAD's, etc...).

My USB GX Loader works to load all games that I've tried. The part that I'm having issues with is that my USB GX Loader Freezes randomly during gameplay.

    Any suggestions?

Get the latest revision of USBloader GX

i knowyou said you had the latest, but just try a different one from the USBLoader GX revisions, there was a lot of freezing in some versions.

Okay, 2 totally different answers for the same problem.....
this leads me to believe that the answer is not clear-cut. And knowledge of this subject is lacking.

When I've had a chance to test my "W.D. My Book 500GB" I'll post my results.

You may want to try NeoGamma for a change. It works great for me using SD card (only playing NSMB extensively on a SD card, I admit).

I can tell you I tested all this.

If you installed it as a channel, the chances are you are on r746 of USBLoader GX and this one freezes in lots and lots of games.

The later revisions from r830 got rid of these issues. Also if you have the drive set up as Fat32 this may be an issue also but less likely than the revision

The other thing to check also is to make sure that your drive doesn't have a sleep function, if it is going to sleep during game play this will also cause freezes

    Cheers

    Hey:Fluid Power,

I'm starting to think this usb loader is just a bit flakey ...Ive tried HDD's and Mem sticks. I have cios249 installed and also have rev 850 (usblgx) and can start all the games fine from usb loader GX...starting the game is fine, but then they crash. At diff points, sometimes after some time playing..but crashing never fails. This usb loader gx is really just a hobby to collect games for people who never play them. That's what Ive came up with. good luck and don't waist too much of your time.. cause I have.
