ntsc / pal
OK, I just soft - moded my Wii following the tutorial on the site. using firmware 4.1u Everything i've installed is based off the tutorial
I have been able to play the new SMB and Ultimate Alliance 2. I'm trying to get the Bakugan game to work, but when it loads it just goes to a black screen. I'm thinking this could be because it's a PAL file and the other ones were NTSC files. I thought the priloader i installed is supposed to bypass this issue though.
Can anyone help me? I can't find the game in the NTSC format anywhere.
Black screen usually means the IOS the game needs to run is not present. If it was a region problem you would get a black and white constantly scrolling screen. You can use WiiScrubber to extract the IOS the game uses to run, then use Wad Manager to install the IOS wad you extracted.

Look at the link that I included in the post. You could also download the IOS from the NUS Downloader, google can be your friend in this regard.
dang.. i saw the other links but missed the obvious one! Thanks for the help Sour! it is much appreciated.
so, i got the ios from wii scrubber -- used a wad mgr to install it.. still didn't run..
I'm also thinking it could be my disc. I'm using +-R.. yes, i read all the forums about using verbatim -R discs, but that's what i had around my house, and i did get 2 other games to work on them. So i'm going to pick up some new -r discs tonight and try that.
i don't know if this matters, but my wii is connected to my flatscreen, and it senses when something is connected to it. When i load the bakugan game, the screen goes black and i get this error from my tv that says mode not supported. i don't know if that makes a difference to anyone as far as what my problem could be, but that's what is making me think it's a PAL issue. If my wii wasn't on, the tv would say searching for signal or no signal, so i think it's getting info from the wii, but it can't play it.
Then you would want to "force NTSC" in the loader that you are using,
i would have sworn i had already tried that.. but i apparently didn't because when i did it worked!
thanks a lot sour!!
No problem, glad I could help out. Have Fun!
