Getting Gecko OS on the Homebrew Channel?
I am very new to all of this and am a bit confused. I recently succesfully, through and SD card, got the Homebrew Channel on my Wii v. 4.2. Now I found out I need to get something called Gecko OS on it in order to load up the codes from the Orcarina Code Manager.
I downloaded a Gecko zipped file and it is on my desktop unzipped and called, "Gecko1901" inside are a variety of different documents... what do I put on my SD card so I can get Gecko on the Homebrew Channel? That is my major problem - as I see so many .txt documents in the files and boot.elf, etc. I simply do not understand what goes into my SD card and then into the Wii.
If you can please help me out that'd be awesome! Also, where do I click on to load Gecko? Do I just click the blue flashing SD card symbol on the Wii Menu to install Gecko like I did with Homebrew? Does it add itself to Hombrew right away? Or is it a new channel? Sorry, I am so confused...
Thanks for any help!
The Geck OS filder will go into your apps folder on your SD card, then loaded through HBC. The best and easiest way to get homebrew programs loaded onto your SD in the correct way is to download homebrew programs through a nifty program called HomeBrew Browser. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/Homebrew_Browser
Thanks for the program info, I now have Gecko on Homebrew. So... do I know have to make a folder in my SD card called "codes"? I wanted codes for Mario Kart Wii so do I just copy this into a .txt document to test:

type that into a .txt document and then load with the code mgr? Then export it into the SD card code file and then insert the SD card into the Wii and then boot up the game with gecko?
As I don't use cheats, someone else will have to come along and help you out.
