    Smile Very Old Newbie

Hi folks although Iím not that into games, we bought our grandson a black Wii for his birthday and he could not play one of his friends backed-up games and so my odyssey begins. I have had a good read through some of the tutorials and rightly or wrongly have updated the firmware from 4.1E to 4.2E. Was this a bad move? And can it be undone?
    Cheers Zoobs
P.S. sorry if this is the wrong forum to be asking questions but when you get as old as me you tend to be a bit forgetful.

2009 Wii Serial numbers after LU3884XXXX and LEH2676XXXX have probably got the new D3-2 chip that prevents playing backup DVD's. They can still use original discs and USB loaders.

I hope you have a great time here at WiiHacks, and increase your knowledge of all things Wii.
