Wii hangs when installing games to HDD

    Hello all.

My Wii has recently taken a horrible fall while my friends and I were playing SSBB, which left the DVD drive inoperable. Long story short, I couldn't fix it. So I'm trying to make the most of what I have. I got a 60 gig external HDD to hook up and I got a few of my games on it but I have another problem.

I'm trying to use my friend's fully working Wii to dump my games already on dvd to the HDD but it always hangs partway through, whether I'm using backups, originals, SL or DL. Nothing works no matter what program I use. Some programs return code dumps, some just hang. I also just found out I can't even rip them to and SD card.

Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on or how to fix it?
    Thanks

I can't help you with the disc drive, but with hard-drive, try using a PC application called WBFS Manager, its here.
    Hope this helps!

That's what I've been using so far to put games on my HDD. It works just fine, I just need a way for the games I have on DVD that I've lost the .isos for.

I've found a solution for now. DVD Dumper works to transfer the games to my computer over the network, and from there I can use WBFS manager to put them on the hard drive. Kinda sucks that it takes 3 hours for each SL game but it's all I have so I won't complain.

I've also found something called Configurable USB Loader. You used that yet?
