WII Clip mod gone bad
Recently I purchased a WII-clip and for the D2C I placed in on my wii and the Clip did not work. I tried several times however I think that it bent a couple of pins on my IC for the drive. However, When the WII-clip is removed the drive works fine. I left the clip off and decided to pre-solder wires for a wasabi install. I figured that I could leave the wires taped and the drive would work. My drive no longer boots up with these wires attached. I don't want to desolder the wires if it will work once I install the wasabi.
Does anyone know if leaving these wires soldered and not hooked to a chip would cause the drive not to work? I thought that this would be a parallel circuit basically bypassing the open wires. Is my drive fried? Please help
sounds like you got some wires touching. get some sort of magnification and look at the legs of the chip and make sure pins are not bridged. Get the wii working normally then try the install again.

Was the Wii-clip a V5 (specific for the Wasabi clip) if so could you email
where you got it thanks
No the wii clip was V1 for the D2C I scraped the idea of the clip and I'm going with a soldered version for the wasabi
