    wii backup question

    hi im new to all this, yesterday i done the twilight hack and all i wanted to know was do i have to install dvdx to play backups?

    as i said i did the twilight hack and i am on 3.2e firmware so can i just burn a wii iso and play as i have tried before but when i run a disc in backup launcher i just get a black screen i also noticed i get an error when i try to install dvdx, starfall and cios install 249 but i am able to use visual boy advance on it any ideas as to why im getting errors? thanks

    Yes you need to look at the post above yours and update your wii so it will play your backup games

    Start from section 3a - Install a cIOS

    Yea.. read the guides that siphillips linked you to. Make sure you do them in order or else it either wont work or youll brick the console. If done correctly, in the end youll be able to enjoy your backup games.

    okay so i have read the guides and i have started 3a install cios like you suggested and i installed everything correctly so i put in a burned game and no luck all i get is dvd read error 1053 in neogamma b8 r7 and just a black screen in backup launcher 0.3 gamma. i have searched the web and noticed it does it more on new wiis but mine is like a year and a half old so i dont know if thats the problem, could it be the discs i am using? thanks

    You need to install

    IOS16-64-v257.wad
    IOS36-64-v3094.wad
    IOS38-64-v3610.wad
    IOS50-64-v4889.wad
    IOS53-64-v5149.wad
    IOS55-64-v5149.wad

    with Wad Manager

    thanks for the reply i installed all the wads you suggested but still no luck is there anything else i can try as i am losing hope.

    Try reburning the ISO using Verbatim DVD-r discs, at the lowest speed you can.

    If possible try other games to rule out a bad download as well.
