UPGRADE WII to 4.1 playing original superMArio BROS?
I', sorry if someone already posted thsi question but I was not able to find it in the forum.
I've the WII with version 4.0e with HomeBrew and Backup channel and USB loaded. I've installed the cIOS36_rev10-installer .
Now, a fried has given me a the original DVD of Super MArio Bros but when I put it in the WII, the upgrade to 4.1 is required to be able to run the game.
My question is : Did someone have already run thid upgrade and had any problem to run the game from the hard disk with the 4.1 version?
Is it better to DON'T upgrade or I can do it without be scared?
Apparently my console has been upgraded by this game, so far I have no problems.

The game doesn't depend on the system menu to run, what is needed from the update is IOS53. This can safely be installed by using DOP-IOS.

sorry for the lack of knowledge but I doubt I have DOP-IOS, were can I get it? Its like I am starting over again being that my Wii just got unbricked.
Many thanks for your replies. How can I check if I've to update to IOS53? And as asked by "xlordt" where I can get the updated and how I can install it? I'm very new on this world. Ciao
ok, if i have the original retail game can i just install IOS53 and then it will run?
i am trying to rip an ISO of this to USB loader so my kids never have to switch discs, but im in afghanistan, and my wife has to do all the footwork on this, so any help will be very much appreciated..
if i can just install that cIOS, and it will run without a full update, im down.. just please let me know if its been tested yet..
well, since no one helped me out, i had to do a lot of trial and error, but after finding an NTSC copy on BT that had the patch, it seems to be working.. kids have been playing for about 10 minutes now with no trouble. thanks for NOT helping LOL..
