Dance revolution game and mat question

    Hello there,
can anyone tell me if it's worth getting that game for my 12 year old dd? plus we have carpet, will the mat work on carpet?

    thanks

    Hi,

The mat surprisingly works quite well on the carpet. It may slip a bit when doing some fast footwork on it however the carpet really helps to absorb the shock on your knees from long sessions of use.

I've played almost all the US versions for DDR and I say definitely go for it.

The mat will work on carpet but it might be a little slippery so maybe you can buy some anti-slip grip things at any local hardware store such as Home Depot & Lowes (It works well for me).

Also I'd recommend getting the Mat/game combo if possible because from person experience, Konami's mats are one of the best soft pads.

I have DDR, it's pretty great. It's fun and it's physical activity which is a plus. I'd recommend getting a mat with a rubber underside because I was slipping a lot on my carpet. Ideally you'd get a hard mat, but I'd only go for that if you're kid gets really into it. Tons of fun though.

thanks again and Merry Christmas to all of you!

If you have a Nintendo Gamecube I hear the Mario DDR is very fun to play too. Merry Christmas to you too.

I stand corrected, it is possible to fall even if the mat is not on carpet.

    hello all that helped out.
I was not able to find it yet, so it has to wait a little longer.
my dd also has gamecube, so I will look in to that to.
