Thinking of Paying someone to hack my Wii
Either I am a complete dumbass or I just can't do it. I got Homebrew Channel on my 4.2 Wii but I can't get the rest to install a USB. If you live near Milwaukee WI, I am resorting myself to paying someone to do this because I have been trying to do this for 4 DAYS and can't figure it out. So if you can hack Wiis and live near Milwaukee, hit me up.
As this is your first post, read up on 4.2, link in this post.
Hi and welcome to WiiHacks RedFlameEnt
If you need advice or help for anything Wii related you have joined the right site, whether its hard or soft modded.
Don’t be shy, ask if you are stuck, just don’t expect other people to do all the work for you.
Before you start anything, make sure you read the rules go over the tutorials, and most importantly, search before asking questions.
Make sure you post in the correct areas of the forums.
If you are starting from scratch, new 3.1-4.1 written by Dogeggs
If you already have Homebrew, upgrade to 4.1 written by Dogeggs
Don’t update to 4.2, but if you are already on 4.2, complete 4.2 guide written by Messie
I hope you have a great time here at WiiHacks, and increase your knowledge of all things Wii.
I am tryying to follow th 4.2 guide and I am at that point where it is better for me to pay for it rather than go through this myself. I have watched videos on Youtube where kids that are 16 can do this, and I am thinking why can't I? I am just too frustrated to do it myself anymore.
Sorry I can't help, I'm a long way from Milwaukee, the only thing I know about Milwaukee is its famous for beer.
Here is my problem, I can't install Cios38rev14 or instal wads or save settings in PriiLoadeder, It won't let me do anything even though I followed everything in the tutorial. I'm stuck.
What errors are you getting? Search for a thread called error index. It has all of the error codes you're getting and how to fix it... Or drive to Cincinnati and I'll help you for beer
A small tip from me mate, do it yourself, if you pay someone then you won't learn the process and when something breaks due to you not knowing what they did, you won't have the knowledge to put it right.
Softmodding is famous for needing regular updating, I see posts from only 10 months ago mocking people for idea's like USB loading etc that are now commonplace.
And anyway, why would you pay someone to do something you can do for free. If you are really struggling then consider a modchip or WODE and have someone fit one of them, you will be tied to just backup discs but that is fine for most people and are difficult to break during normal home useage.
Stick at it bud, it will all become clear eventually, read, read and more reading.
I agree, but I do like the idea of mods for beer.
