    upgrade 4.2e thats soft modded?

okay my 4.2e Wii is softmodded with the tutorial found here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html what will happen if now in the future i buy a game that requires a firmware update to play? will i be able to upgrade the firmware to play my game without bricking my wii? to be honest i dont care if it removes all the softmods i kind of want them gone anyway but my main concern is if i buy a NEW game from the shops that requires a higher level firmware update and i go ahead and upgrade, will it brick my wii?

A softmodded wii should never update through nintendo, or format the system. Why did you softmod your wii? I sounds like you didn't want to.

well i realised its not really what i want, i rather wait and get a Wii Key 2 chip hardmodded. I dont really understand all the details of IOS and it all confuses me and i dont wanna risk getting it bricked and all that kind of stuff... is there anyway i can remove all the soft mods i put on there so i can just go back to buying games for now?

your right, best to wait for a new guide or learn about ios, and cios. I imagine your wii is setup pretty good at the moment, so play some games and have fun.
