Us going to 4.1, avoiding 4.2

hi i modded my wii at the point when it was 4.0u and everything went well. after the 4.1 update came out i didnt update for fear of problems that may arise. now that i am ready to do it 4.2 is out and my bootmi is as a cios and there is no preloader available for that firmware. i want to upgrade to 4.1 i have a softmodded 4.0u that did everything it was supposed to do at that point. which tutorial is right for me? also i thought i should mention i do have internet access as well as an sd card and followed the guides and did the original softmod myself

why do you want to upgrade your system menu?

you would be better upgrading the IOS's

if you've got a cIOS start from step 5

i am told that that system menu update enabled some nice features and is kinda gonna be necessary for future games. i have the cios but it is rev13 and am probably missing alot of the ios needed. just thought if there was an app to upgrade and do any of the necessary fixes to get homebrew apps and backups functioning again in the new system menu it would be easier but maybe i am wrong lol

    Ah memories. Lol.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Sounds like the one word exchange that harkens back to WiiJohn to me.

Yeah that guy became a mod shortly after that, but always kinda gave me the impression he didn't like me much. After I became a mod, he just suddenly left, never returned lol
