bricked wii with bootmii2 and homebrew.drivekey .THIS IS A STRANGE ONE!!!!!!!!!

a friend has just popped a wii around he believes its been upgraded to 4.2 it did have a drivekey in it (now removed). it has bootmii as boot2 and i can load the homebrew channel but no apps show up on it.
cboot2 tries to load but hangs.
the system menu will not load.
i am at a bit of a loss any suggestions.
    PS no good nand backup.
she closed the door after the horse had bolted.

    homebrew chanell is 1.0.5
    ios61 v21.29

    update/
when i load homebrew channel via bootmii all i can get by pressing x on the gamecube controller is

    OPTIONS
    DEVICE

    internal sd slot usb device

sd gecko slot a sd gecko slot b

    SORT APPLICATIONS BY
    name date

all i can alter is the name date ok and back bit of this screen, i cant highlight or select any of the sd, usb, sd geckoa or b choices???????

    Hi Jamie,

At a complete guess I'd say the SD slot is not playing ball.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

i thought that, but have tried to load apps via usb and the stick isnt recognised (fat)
also it loads bootmii and then homebrew via sd?

i was wondering if the drivekey may have done something upon upgrading?

ive tried usb formatted as fat using a 3.8gig stick with the apps folder on the root of the stick, as it would be using sd.

thanks anyway, i think the drivekey has something to do with it. 4.2 and modchips are not very healthy
