New Wii Running Sys Menu 4.0 - D3-2

    Hi

I bought a Wii yesterday and followed the guide to a T but did not upgrade to 4.1

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

Backup DVD-R's are not loaded through NeoGamma and im not seeing anything in the disk channel. I know i did everything correctly and im reading that new Wii's with D3-2 boards cant play DVD's and USB Loaders are the only way to go.

Is this right? is there any other way to play disks through the disc channel or am i USB only mode.

    Thank you

If you do have a D3-2 then its USB loading only, no way around it. The only way to check for certain is to open the Wii and take a look.

Does your wii serial start with lu39? If so then you have a d3-2 for sure you should use a hard drive anyway its way faster the wii can only read backup games at 3x instead of the 6x speed.
