    Ideal SD Card/DVD's?

Hi everyone, new to modding and I am going to be following this guide:

My question is, what would be the ideal SD card and DVD for burning games?

I was planning on going to futureshop or walmart tomorrow and getting this SD card Future Shop: Cameras & Camcorders: Digital Memory: SanDisk 2GB SD Memory Card

Will that work okay? Also what would be the suggested type of dvd's to buy? I'm definitly willing to pay more for the highest quality. Any tips are appreciated.

Whatever you do don't follow that tutorial it is outdated and plus missing a lot of steps. As far as your other questions Sandisk 2 gb sd card is recommended and Verbatrim dvd-r .

If you are going to use any tutorial use this one.

Do not follow this YouTube video. It does not get your Wii softmodded in 7 or 11 minutes. We get a lot of this video's viewers. For your softmod a 2GB SD SanDisk formatted as FAT32 is good. DVD-use Verbatim DVD-R, burn with ImgBurn at 4X if no good, try 2.4 or 2X burn speed.

If your Wii is 3.1-4.1 follow this tutorial:http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html.

If you have updated to 4.2, then this guide is the one to follow: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/24630-full-hacking-guide-4-2-system-menus.html.

Ack, 2 minutes too slow. I had a member ask me about this video today and I thought the member was just kidding because we joke about this man and his video so much on this site. This guy has some revised video in which he refers his viewers to us. Wish he'd just pull his videos.

By the way, how do I find out which version my wii is? (4.0, 4.1 etc) I searched on google and all I could find was people wondering whether their system was pal/ntsc. I bought it last christmas if that helps.

thats right. but. i use a cheap kodak sd card and cheap dvd disks and they work just as good. my suggestion would be to try what you have. i got virbatim disks and then got some cheap one and i couldnt tell the difference.

you will find that imgburn will allow you to burn at 4x or 6x, when you load an iso it will tell you on the right the supported burning sleeds, go for the lowest it offers if you burn it fast it probs wont work. hope this helps

Go to Wi Options button-lower left. On the next screen look in the upper right-hand corner should say something like 3.2U, 4.0E. The letter is your region U-US, E-mostly Eorope-means a PAL video, J-Japanese
