Instsalling Mplayer CE
can someone out there please tell me how to install Mplayer CE. I am completely lost as to how to install it. I'm a noob and don't know much about IOS and cIOS.
All you need to do is make sure you have the homebrew channel installed (guides 4.1 and lower 4.2) and then download Mplayer CE (wiibrew.org). In the rar file at the download link, there's an mplayer_ce folder under the apps folder. Take this mplayer_ce folder and place it under the apps folder under the root of your SD card (the path should be sd:/apps/mplayer_ce); the apps folder is where the homebrew channel looks for the apps to run. If you want more info, search the forum and take a look at the guides linked to above in particular. You might also want to check out the wiibrew.org page linked above and wiibrew.org in general.
Hope this helps!
You could also download the homebrew browser app >>>Find it Here<<< and put that into your apps folder the same way as mentioned above. Then launch it from your homebrew channel, give it a few seconds to load up, and look through the lists of apps that you can download. MPlayerCE is on there. You just click on it, select download, and it downloads the app to the correct folder on your sd card. Then you do not have to worry about downloading apps on the computer, and transferring them to your sd card, then put the sd card into the wii. Just another way to do things and may make app downloading easier in the future.
If I helped you out, Please Thank me vvvv>
I downloaded it from the HBB a long time ago, but when i try to play a disk through it says please wait, mounting... I can hear the drive of the wii reading the disk. However, nothing happens, it just freezes and stays on the background picture of Mplayer. When using the HackMii installer, I made sure that DVDx was installed.
If you are using an older version of HBC and DVDx thats OK, but if you are using the latest HBC 0.6 you need to update the DVDx .
