Unhappy Stuck. Wii 3.4U, LU65...only loads Preloader, data Corrupt

    Some background info:
Wii (was virgin) currently with f/w 3.4U, serial LU65

    I have completed the following:
    1. Bootmii install
    2. HBC
    3. NAND backup
    4. Patched IOS36
    5. Preloader
    6. cIOS

my problem: everytime I boot up the Wii it goes straight to the preloader menu. When I go to the system menu it tells me that the data is corrupted.
I can go into the HBC though & bootmii.

Anyone please help? Thanks in advance.

Whats preventing you from using your NAND backup?

Nothing, I'm assuming I can since I can get to the menu with the gears on it. Just thought there might be another solution. I will try the NAND backup when I get home.
Now after I complete the backup, what should I do next so this doesn't happen again?
I've read that the preloader doesn't like f/w 3.4. So should I upgrade to at least 4.0?
    Thanks for the response!

Im not trying to make this sound rude but because Im not sure what happened to cause this issue I can't really give you advice of what you can do to prevent this.

I would use my NAND Backup and if that works fine I would upgrade to 4.0 using this. Make sure you have an internet connection for this.

After that all should be well. I do not have much expierence with preloader as it has some bugs in it that just irritate the piss out of me. And I own a launch wii and do not know too much about issues that may come up with the LU65 serials. I am gussing you have bootmii as an IOS and not as a boot2.

Yes you assumed correctly, I installed it as an IOS (had no other option).
Don't worry you weren't rude. Now I feel your pain towards the preloader.
I'll try the NAND backup & if all is well or not I will post here.
On a side note, the d/l you provided, do I place that on my SD card? If so where?

you would put it in your /apps folder with its own subdirectory and go in to your HBC and run it.

Ok attempted to do a NAND restore (red arrow) & it says it can't find boot2, which is right b/c bootmii was installed IOS. So I pres A+B+X+Y & it says dump failed. What do you think I could do now, or what am I doing wrong?

I did not know bootmii needed to be boot 2 to restore your nand... makes sense so tho. i am so stupid sometimes. I apologize for that. Can you still get in to hombrew?

If so try installing a system menu wad

It's alright, you know more than I do, so w/e info you have helps.
I can still get into HBC.
    Here's the noob question....
How do I install a system menu wad? I know it has to be on the SD card, but what should I have on there, only?
