    3.2U neogamma r5 wad brick....

i am new to this website. and i really need help with unbricking a wii.
its a 3.2U FW, bricked by installing a bad NEOGAMMA R5.WAD.
did not have any preloader, starfall, or bootmii installed...
i can get to the rescue menu by the savemiifrii method....
can i get my wii to update to a higher firmware with a newer game?
    any help would be appreciated..

It should work with the retail versions of games such as Wii Sports Resort, Conduit, Tiger Woods 2010. Basically any game that's come out in the last month or two. Failing that you are looking at a modchip installation and the use of a few autobooting unbricking discs.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

They would update you to 3.4.

They wouldn't fix your Bannerbrick though, you need to launch Wad manager and uninstall the bad wad you installed. To do this you need to launch the recovery console thing with savemii or savemiifrii.

You therefore need a modchip with autobooting ability and a unbricking disk, as per the Banner Brick tutorials on Wiihacks.

Can you boot any games? If you can you should be able to force your way into data management by filling you nand with savegames and game channels. Once in there you can bannerbomb wadmanager and uninstall the bad wad.

Does your wii boot to the health screen? If it does you can try maintenance mode, hold + -, then push A a few times.

    Hold + & -, then push A several times while holding + & -

If that does not work you will need to buy a chip pre-configured to autoboot. Which should allow you to boot recovery disks or games to fix your wii. The chip may or may not help you, but in theory it should allow you to fix it.

Hopefully you can enter the maintenance mode, but it is a long shot.
