Thread: need help with Metroid Prime Trilogy!

  1. #1

Unhappy need help with Metroid Prime Trilogy!

Can't play the game. Through one of the Gecko O.S loaders I can get to the game, same as with the disc channel loader on homebrew. But whenever I click to start one of the Metroid Prime games on the disk, it goes to the loading lcreen showing the Metroid Prime logo, and then the Wii remote turns off and the game just stops at the load screen. I don't know how to work around it. I'm running system menu 4.1.

Same problem here, I'm using Custom USB loader, but when I try to load one of the 3 games it shows Samus then goes to the loading screen but the screen turns green and the Wii resets.

-Extract rs5mp1_p.dol, rs5mp2_p.dol, and rs5mp3_p.dol from this ISO with WiiScrubber. Place all of these on your SD card's root directory.
-Load the game without using alt.dol settings. Create a save file, and exit.
-Change one of the .dol's listed above to read R3ME01.dol for whichever game you want to play. (So, if we want to play Prime 1, change rs5mp1_p.dol to R3ME01.dol)
-Set your USB Loader to load from the SD card.
-This will load the game directly, and you will not see the main Trilogy menu.

..you will need to change which .dol file is labeled R3ME01.dol if you want to play a different game. Remember to create a save file first, or it'll just code dump.

I was using Neogamma and booting from disc using alt dol. I had to put the R3ME file into the neogamma folder on my root directory and had to label it "R3ME.dol" without the 01, but all the games work and save with no problems so far. Thanks again for the help.

How do I install Neogamma to the SD card. I loaded the wad into the root of the sd card. But no dice. Doesn't show up on homebrew channel.

You need to have the wad in a folder called wad on your sd card. Then install using wad manager

I have had a tutorial for both the easy and hard way to get it for a while now, here you go:
