My homebrew channel/wii does not recognize my sd card

OK..I have looked and looked through these forums and I have not found an answer to my problem. I am trying to fix the wii for my kids.

I have version 3.2U and the homebrew channel. I am wanting to add the error #002 wad file to the wii so they can play more games.

When I put in the memory card...I go to the HBC and hit start. A little SD card logo pops up and then there are two icons on the lower right hand side of the screen. The one on the right blinks 5 or 6 times and then nothing happens. It is not reading the SD card.

I bought another SD card because I thought the one I had may be broken, but I am having the same problem with the new one.

Can anyone help me with this? I am sorry if this has been addressed already..I have looked and cannot find the answer.

Please help so my boys will stop driving me crazy!!

    Thanks

do u have wad foler apps folder in the root of the sd card? are u just gettin bubbles when u go to hbc? if so u need to make those 2 folders and put wad manager in the apps folder and any other application u want in there and then put all the wads u want in the wad folder and then go to hbc and u should see the applications

Ok Simple, Insert your SD Card into your computer and make a backup of everything in it. Then go to My Computer, right click your SD Card and select Format then change the Format from NTFS to FAT and press format and then put back all your files.

I wiped the sd card clean and put the EOC download on it. Do I have to change anything to get it to read?

yes just format your SD Card to FAT, you have to do it just like i said and then also make sure that the .dol file inside the app/Wad Manager folder is named boot.dol

I already erased the card like an idiot.

Also, when I go to format the card, my only option is FAT or FAT32.

This is frustrating. I am too old to be trying to do this

Did you try both cards and also did you check to see that the .dol file inside the wad manager folder is named boot.dol

Yes..tried both cards. Put EOC gamma pak on both cards. Boot.dol is there in the wad manager folder.

    Still getting nothing but bubbles.

It's working! Not sure how. I just deleted everything again and repeated the process. It works. Thanks everyone.

Now you wouldn't mind telling me the best way to upgrade so I don't get the error 002 messages would you.

I will start reading up on that. My twin boys want to play punch out and they keep getting the 002 error.
