hey guys i did a search but still not sure ...i installed my dx with 2.0 beta now when i install it with the wasabi clip ..do i just remove the small drive ribbon cable that came with the dx and put it back to normal and just install the clip (without having the ribbon cable hooked up to the wasabi dx?) thanks
I want to update my wasabi dx to 2.0 but Id on't know how to and when I used the config screen by repressing eject 3 times the screen turns black and I'm unsure on what to do.
Wasabi Wii Modchip - Compatible with DMS, D2A, D2B, D2C, D2C2, D2E - Upgradable from DVD - Simply the best download the 2.0beta iso, burn it to disc then pop it in your wii. i think it shows up as a gamecube icon in ur disc channel, start it up and enjoy.
thanks guys for the reply ....man this is a awesome chip ...i have no softmods on my wii ...and with the chip and the clip(running update 3.4u) i have had no problems with backups ... ghostbuster-punchout all run perfect ...very happy with wasabi dx/wasabi clip
My Wii System
GC2-DMS Chipset - Wasabi Dx/Zero
3.2u Firmware - HB Channel - Bootmii as Boot2
Cios R14 - Neogamma R8B7
LG GDR 8163b for backups
Hit the "Thanks" if im useful.
OK. I will update to the 2.0Beta. The chipset D1 really exists. Just not much info on it I guess.
Ghostbusters (USA) does not work on my PAL Wii 4.1e with a DriveKey chip installed
Also, how does the Wasabi DX (installed as a ribbon chip) perform when you throw out-of-region games at it? (E.g. European PAL games on an American NTSC Wii or vice versa). There are problems playing certain out-of-region games with DriveKey, but I suspect this is not related to DriveKey as such, but rather limitations of the Wii (or more specifically the Wii drive).
