Oh god,what have i done d:!?!?!?!
First thing first. I have my Wii with Homebrew, I installed it when it was 3.2 via twilight hack, then managed to upgrade to 4.0. But my real problem started a week ago .
I was burning my .iso's as usual, and never had any problem playing them, untill I tried to play Resident Evil: Umbrella Chornicles. I kept getting this "DVD read error ###" ( the number varies every time I tried to play it) on the back-up loader gamma ver.03. That was only the beggining.
So after several hits on the "launch disc" option, the game finally loaded. Right after the intro sequence, I got this message of "the game can't be read, please check the Wii manual, blah, blah...". Obviously, I raged at first, but then calmed down and tried again, Just to see it happenig again and again.
At first, I thought it was a problem with the burning procces, so I decided to go with another game, No More Heroes, but the problem was the same.
So I spent the whole week looking how to fix these reading errors, with very unsuccesful efforts. At this point, my frustration was so big that I decided to erease the Homebrew Channel and re-install it again.
But now I realize that I know nothing or less about soft modding, AND I CANT INSTALL IT AGAING D:!!!! WHAT HAVE I DONE ?!? PLEASE, I NEED HELP!!!
TL;DR:I ereased Homebre Channel directly from the channels data management from a Wii that have a bunch of IOS and stuff already installed. How do I re-Install it and how do I solve the DVD read errors?
too bad for u to erease HBC fm the channels.
read bannerbomb alpha comex for ur next move!

Also, in order to don't make a new thread, a very simple question: how do I run this DVDx player?, It says that it's a hidden channel, and I cant manage to find it myself.

I had the same problem, got new discs, and it works fine. Make sure you're using dvd-r's.

You don't. DVDx is what runs in the background when you play backups.
