Thread: I have need help that someone on here will find simple LU64 4.0U

I need help with my LU64 4.0U. Someone on here will find my problem simple to solve

After going through hours of the many tutorials and trying to figure out the technical jargon(glossary), I still do not fully comprehend how it is done.
    This is what I have been able to do thus far through step-by-step directions;
I stupidly upgraded my new Wii that has LU64 serial #, to 4.0. Then I was able to successfully install the HBC, bootmii and HBB(I did NOT install DVDx). After that I believe I was able to successfully install the LU64 Fix. Then I was able to install the neogamma backup loader app on HBC and I was able to play my backed up "EA Active" game on it, so I know that works.
What I want to do now is install a Backup Loader Channel and the USB loader Channel for my Wii. Can someone please let me know step-by-step what files I put on the SD card and what steps I take when it is loaded on my Wii? I do not understand the IOS,WAD, or any of those things but if you could tell me which words to select on the screen, I think I am able to do that.
I also want to be able to play Pal games on my USA Wii. I have the Pal games, but how do I make sure they are OK to play on my USA Wii, and not Brick my Wii? What do I do to ensure the PAL games are playable on the NTSC Wii?
    Thanks,
    Any help is appreciated.

CHANNELS ?....try search WADer for more info.
yet, having homebrews installed as Channels will occupy the wii memeory spaces.

with GeckoOS, or Backup_Launcher or USB_Loader installed, u would be fine to play PAL games on usa-Wii.
may like to install Pre-loader for brick prevention.

on other tutorials I see HBC, USB loader, and Backup loader as there own seperate channels. does that make sense?
Since I have LU64 4.0, do I have to follow a different step-by-step tutorial to install a backup loader,USB loader, and pre-loader on my Wii. If I don't which ones should use? dO YOU HAVE A LINK i COULD GO OFF OF?
For the PAL games, you're saying I can just burn the pal games the way they are and play them on my modded Wii like I did with the "EA Active" USA game?
    Thanks for the quick reply

If you need any channels click my sig and have a look, they are all wads that you put in a folder named 'wad' on the root of your card and then install with wad manager, it's no different for lu64 models. You don't have to worry about out of region updates as the backup loaders block these and enable you to force pal/ntsc.

Ok I understand that wads are the channels, but can you tell me what wad manager to use, where to get it and how to install it? you can basically point me to a link and that would be great.
So you are saying the wad file in your shared files is a Backup loader channel that I can install as a Channel and play my pal games on my USA Wii without any conversion or patcher or update blocker? Just burn the game and insert it in the Wii and open it with the Backup Loader?
    Thanks for the responses

use this wad manager, it's the best atm imo, and as long as you have a cios, the loader channel will work just as you say
