How to add thumbnails using usb loader please?

    Hi

I am using usb loader 1.5 and would like to add thumbnails so my kids can select games easily.

    Can someone tell me.

    1. What format they need to be i.e. png-jpg etc?

    2. What size they need to be or does usb loader auto resize?

    3. The best place to get my thumbs from?

    4. How and where I put them?

    Thanks

    Baz

    Hi,

    1. PNG

    2. 160x225, 96dpi

    3. Wii Boxart (already formatted)

    4. In the root of your SD card make a folder called "usb-loader" and inside that a folder called "covers" - put your cover art in the covers folder. (usb-loader/covers)

    Cheers!

    Hi

Thanks again for all the help here.

I have formatted my HD to WBFS and have made a folder on root of SD card called usb-loader and a folder in that called covers.

I donloaded a png from the site Dex recommended but the thumbnail is not showing? Do I need to rename the thumb to the extact name of the iso file but with .png instead of .iso as the extention. At work at the mo so cant test it myself till I get home.

    Thanks

    Baz

Every game has a file ID.
For example Mario Kart id is; RMCE00

So for mario kart it would be RMCE00.png in the covers folder.

You maybe better off downloading a cover art pak, That way you will have
all of them. There is a link somewhere on this site...

Check to make certain the 6 character wii game code of the game matches that of the cover art you downloaded - if it does you need to install cIOS36 rev10 - you most likely used rev9.

Thanks again for coming back so quickly guys.

Right, I wondered what the codes were all about...I thought they were alllocated by the the wii gui program that enables you to read the wbfs?? or are you saying these codes are embeded in original games?

I quickly bunged a .png picture that I downloaded from the boxart site into the covers folder before I went to work but nothing showed up in usb loader. I hadn't changed the codes so thats weird it didn't show.

Im pretty sure I only have rev 9 so as Dex says the problem may be I need rev 10....

ooooh!!!! cant wait to get home and start tinkering ;-)

    Thanks

Can thumbnails be installed on your usb drive along with the games?
