Can i run this on 3.3u with d2pro9 chip?
i have version 3.2e soft mod. So far all backups ive tried work.
Will the updated IOS affect my setup? ie. stop madworld and other games working that use the HBC backup launcher.?
Also, will this boot the backups in ISO format?
Sorry if these are dumb questions but so far ive had no problems with my soft mod set up. Id rather carry on burning backups to dvds if this method changes my set up in any way.
I havent had the time to mess around with this but from what I am told it works on a different format than fat or ntfs. Once you get everything installed, you format the drive using the software to the special format. Then you insert the original disc in and use the usb loader ripper to rip it to the hdd. If you have a modchip installed you don't need the original disc as the modchip will enable backups to be read.
I don't know how accurate that is, but just what I was told for now.

What size are the ISO's of the games once they are ripped. Are they just like the original games,4.7GB, or are they smaller?
That's what I have heard so far, some say it scrubs the games but I cannot say for sure.
This is not mine but what I have read
Q: When I boot USB Loader, I get: Could not initialize USB subsystem! (ret = -1) ?
This means either your USB drive is corrupted or it is not supported. Please use another drive or doublecheck connections. Also, if you have something plugged in the other USB port, be sure to remove it. If all that doesn't work, try switching your USB port.
Q: While in the ripping process, it freezes. (I got passed 0.01%)
A:Mine did this, but because my flash drive was overheating. It sounds ridiculous, but try keeping it cooled off. Or if you have another flash drive, try that.
If your flash drive has an LED and it's still blinking, leave it be, it's just running slow! If it's stopped blinking for more than 40 seconds you'll need to reset your Wii.
Q: When I go to rip the disk, it freezes at 0.01% or 0.00%?
A:If your Wii is hard modded, I don't have a solution for you :[..but if it isn't, try reinstalling the IOS file or cleaning your disk.
Q: When I go to rip, it says "Invalid Wii game"?
A: You're most likely using a backed up game or a ligit scratched game. Clean the DVD, try a few more times. If that fails burn another copy.
Q: WTF's a partition?
A: The best way to describe it, is a segment of your hard drive that is reserved for one file system. Most computer come with the entire hard drive as one partition, but you can split hard drives into multiple partitions for better organization or different file systems.
Q: How do i turn my USB device back compatible with windows?
A: Using XP, right click "My computer" and go to "Manage" while your USB drive is connected. Click "Disk Managment". Right click your device and format or create a new partition.
Q: I know what a partition is, is there any way for me to repartition my drive without loosing current data?
A: Unfortunately, there's no easy way to just repartition without deleting previous partitions that I know of.
Q: Can i dump Gamecube games?
A: No. Im sure it'll eventually be supported, but not at this time.
Q: It says that there's only x.xxgb's avaliable, but I have a lo tmore space than that!!
A: It seems to be a glitch, all you can really do is ignore it.
Q: How big are the Wii games and how long do they take to dump?
Most games take under 20 mins to dump, except Super Smash Bros Brawl. Here's some examples.
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess :::: 1.12gb :::: 13 mins
Link's Target Training :::: 0.25gb :::: 3 mins, 25 seconds
Wii Sports :::: 0.36gb :::: 5 mins, 13 seconds
This sounds soooo sweet!
so you have to rip the games?? or can you just put the iso on a hard drive?
hey there just wondering if any one has try ed it yet, and how its works
Hard drive is formated once hooked up to the Wii, you cannot put or see any files on the HDD with windows once it is formated by the Wii.
Yes the games need to be ripped, if you have a mod chip then you can rip backed up games from the Wii to the HDD
From what I have read, you can use wbfswin program to load iso images from pc to the hard drive. I believe you have to initialize the drive first example "wbfs -d S: init " S being the drive letter. Then you used the add command ex. "wbfs add 12345.iso" to load the iso image which should be in the same directory where you are running wbfswin from. I can't confirm it works since none of my hard drives work but my 256mb flash drive lolll but from looks of it, it should work just fine. Enjoy...
Just confirmed it with my 256mb flash drive and it kicked off installing the iso image to my usb flash drive and ended with an error message about not enough space so yeah the shit works
I just have to find me a drive that's compatible....
edit:...that file that gldntch is talking about is here
