It has the 3.4 firmware update on it. If you want 3.4 then update, if not then block it/remove it and just install IOS53 and IOS55.

    Us Semi Bricked

I have/had 3.4u installed... Got the Pal verson of Mario Power Tennis. When inserting the game, it asked to update... So I went into settings and did an update from the internet... Said there was none, so I went ahead and updated from the disc... I figured since there was no update from the net then the one on the disc would have been bypassed... Now my wii is semi bricked... I dont know what firmware its running... I tried loading wads from ntsc ready to rumble, and ntsc of mario power tennis i got from scrubbing but I get errors... If I put the ready to rumble ntsc and mario power tennis ntsc into my wii the cursor disappears and the disc channel locks up... Can anybody help me get this back to 3.4u Im new to the whole flashing the wii... I got the wad loading idea from some other page that...

    get a System_Menu_289.wad ( solely for NTSC-U console !! )
load it in to fix the semibrick.

search "Firmware_upater_4.0"; see if u hv luck. then, u may manually install the cIOS249 and IOS60 to get moving on.....
