A wad is a bundled channel. It could contain any form of channel, be it a virtual console title, internet channel, homebrew channel, exc.

A wad is installed via the wad manager, run in the homebrew channel or through the twilight hack.

Google Homebrew Channel or Twilight Hack and you will open yourself a whole new world on your Wii.

Incorrect, The twilight hack allows you to install the homebrew channel, which will then in turn allow you to use wad manager to install wads onto the wii, As long as your on firmware 3.2 (Some 3.3 and 3.4 block installation of wads.)
