Smile Just hacked my Wii - need a little bit of help!

So, I followed the guide to "Softmod any Wii!!!" (I actually started following another guide, but couldn't get Dop-Mii to work and it went downhill from there!) - anyhow, it's worked... as far as I am aware. So, I now have a couple of questions, so I signed up here just to ask, because the guide was good and I figured I'd get some good help here!

What file type should I be using? WBFS or an ISO? I have an ISO but it's 4GB and I only have a 3.6GB memory stick until I can get a bigger one - probably tomorrow. So I only tested the WBFS file, which didn't show up.

Now that the Wii is softmodded, I have a lot of Gamecube games that I'd like to do, too. Will that involve putting a lot of extra stuff on? (Can it even be done?)

Does the SD card always need to be in the Wii? I borrowed it from a digital camera, and so I can't leave it in there forever. :P If it does need to be in there, does it need to be the SAME SD card, or can I just copy everything from the current SD card and put the new SD card in?

Thank you for answering my (possibly silly) questions!

If you choose to run your homebrew apps from SD card, then yes: it has to be in the system. But you can always get another SD card (up to 32gig) to do your normal day-to-day things (2gig max was only needed for the modding process itself).

I (and most of the staff) would recommend that you format your hard drive as FAT32 (and you will definitely want to get something other than a 3.6gig stick). We have a FAT32 guide that shows you how we recommend you format and install content. The properly installed content will be stripped as .wbfs files and will vary in size depending on the game (lowest I know is 32meg, highest is 8.5gig).

There are two methods to USB loading GameCube content. Dios Mios and Devolution. I prefer DM myself, but I think most of the rest of the staff uses Devolution. The hard drive has to be FAT32 formatted with 32k clusters for this to work (the guides will show you how to detect and modify this setting).

All guides mentioned assumes you started with Softmod Any Wii guide and are all linked in my signature.

Thanks! My .wbfs files are working properly now.

Hopefully, I can have the same success with a couple of Gamecube .isos.
