I think I need to re-softmed my son's Wii.
Hello, It has been a few years since I have done anything with the Wii. I originally installed a Wode because my 2 daughters were really in to the Wii. I did a full soft-mod using the indianapwnz method so I could play a few Japanese imports. It was so worth it Anyway, the Wii has collected dust for about 2 years because my girls are older and lost interest. My son is a little older and plays it it now and that is when I came in to our 1st issue since modding it years ago. I got him Disney infinity and he can't play it at all. The message we get on screen says "Error 001, unauthorized device have been detected." I still have my nand back-up/keys from years ago and bootmii as boot 2, so I'm willing to try anything. So sorry if this is noobish. Like I said it has been a long time and I feel awful having gotten my son a game he really wanted and not being able to play it. Not to mention that the game and all the accessories were more expensive then I anticipated :P

if u want to keep it modded then follow our softmod any wii guide to update and u will be able to play the newer games otherwise use your nand back up with bootmii to restore the wii to original and update officially

That's exactly what I'll do. Thanks for the verification.

The WiiMC channel installer fails to install the channel. The WiiMC homebrew app works perfectly fine, but having it as a channel was pretty nice. I'm not sure why the channel installer no longer works. I've tried 1.9 and 2.0, with no success. I started the guide at chapter 2 because I already had HBC 1.1.0 running on ios58, bootmii and a nand backup.
Is this something you have come across before?
I'm going to try Anytitle Deleter when I get home from work. I read post on the wiimc forums where a user had the same issue and resolved it by using Anytitle Deleter to completely remove the old channel first.
It worked and I'm super happy. Using Anytitle Deleter to completely remove my old channel install of WiiMC allowed me to install the new version. I'm running 100% issue free.
