    Softmod question

    If I were to buy a game over sea's I know it will be in PAL I read off a site it could brick the wii is that possible with the the latest guide for softmoding ? and my other question is even thou I did do these Block Disk Updates", "Block Online Updates", "Remove
    Diagnostic Disc Check
    ", "Move Disc Channel" when i softmodded what would I do if I get a game that needs a update

    I've never heard of anyone bricking because they used an imported game...who ever told you that was either messing with you or misinformed.

    As for your question about games wanting to update; games don't actually try to update themselves, what they may ask to update is your system menu. However, if you have Priiloader set to block disc updates you can play these games without them telling you to update your system first.

    If you follow the "Softmod ANY Wii" guide, you'll be perfectly safe. Accepting an out of region update (example System Menu) can wreak havoc on the unsuspecting user. Re-read the very first sentence I just wrote.

    Thanks I did block it when I softmodded my wii I followed the guide with no problems.i read about that guy using a game and bricking his wii off another site so ya maybe he was bsing but I just wanted to make sure just in case for my own percaution if I were to buy games from over sea's thanks again

    Just be sure to always use a backup loader (USB Loader GX, CFG Loader, etc etc) and as long as you have followed OUR guide, you're golden.
