    Zelda Skyward Sword

So I finally started playing my wii again after haven't touched it in a while. I brought a copy of Zelda Skyward Sword and converted to an ISO (since my wii drive is a bit funky and doesn't always read my discs and I like running everything off my external). When I try loading it using USB loader GX and loaded the game, my screen just goes blue. When I pop in the wii disc, it looks like I need to update my wii. I am currently running 4.1U.

From doing some searches on wiihacks, I found a post that might help me But it is from 2011. Is this what I should do still to "update" my wii so it would work with my Zelda game now (since it's been 2 year since the post I have cited)? Do I have to do anything else in addition to get it to run off my external?

If anyone can provide any instructions on how I can get the game to work that would be great! I just want to make sure I do not mess up and brick my system

Check the softmod Any Wii guide linked in my signature. That will get your current. Be sure to install and configure priiloader as part of the process (shown in the guide) which will block disk-based and network-based update attempts.

If you plan on using Wii Shop at all, include the Wii Shop Channel v21 contents in the guide as well.
