Uninstall BootMii and HBC via HackMii installer and you're good to go.
I borrowed my friends Wii and completed chapter 1 on the softmod any Wii guide. I have learned that she does not want a softmoded Wii and wants me to return to it to her and for it to be in its original state. I have searched and found some other threads with the same issue, but I was wondering if i am past the point of no return.
Will just uninstalling HBC return the Wii to its original state and would it be safe to update their Wii if she wanted it too?
Or do I have to buy her one and just keep this one so i do not risk of bricking her Wii and end up buying a new one for her.
Thank you for taking the time to read my question!
Since you stopped at Chapter 1, what Nightstah said is all you need to do, since those two items are all you installed.
If you had gone further, then it would have been more difficult to undo what you did.
Thank you guys!!!!!! Really appreciate your sincerety, knowledge and speedy response!!
To access the hackmii installer, do i just go into the calender and click on the red envelope?
Yes. you can use letterbomb to get into the HackMii installer again, and this time uninstall the programs. After that, take out the SD card and the bomb message will not return.
It should be noted that the softmod would still be detectable by Nintendo and they may refuse to service the Wii. Not a big deal if it is out of warranty (paying for an official repair almost never makes financial sense) but if you want to be perfectly transparent with the consoles owner you should mention it.
Okay. I will. And thanks. And just to make sure. I am able to update via nintendo?
So i did take it past the point of no return... so there is no way to make it normal(my definition of normal is being able to update via nintendo without bricking) again? Assuming i remove hbc and bootmii from the wii.
