That's definitely an out of date softmod. Start this guide at the spoiler entitled, "Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed" as can be found below Chapter 1, Part 1. Run through the rest of the guide. That should have you good to go.
I'll be quick, I bought the new Wii Disney Infinity game and we can't play it. I loaded it into my HDD and tried to play it via Homebrew as well as disconnecting my hard drive and playing it straight on my Wii unit and I get an "error 002" in one method and a similar error eject the disc" the other way. It comes with a pad similar to Skylanders BTW which I plugged into the rear usb top port (I plug my HDD into the bottom of course). My specs. HB R8 Beta 14 Rev14 IOS249 It's a Wii 4.2 I've never updated my Wii. My son has waited patiently for 2 days while I've failed to start the game, any ideas? Thanks much I'm terribly sorry I missed the edit button, I haven't posted to a site in a long while. Yes, I saw the "format" instructions plainly and I have, to FAT 32 as it says..I was in a bad motorcycle wreck and take some powerful meds to deal with 10 blown discs in my spine, it's difficult not to make simple mistakes at times, I do my best. I will not over-post again. Edit; I've removed my accidental over-posts. Hey Night, my update is going very well, thanks..I found the iosupdate within bootmii.

You shouldn't need the internet for the purposes of following the guide. If you're following the guide you should know the answer to your latter-most questions (it tells you to FORMAT the card like three times throughout the guide and exactly how to format it). Please don't "triple post," use the edit button if you forgot something.
Nightstah. am I using the "edit" option properly now? It looks like I'm just making my original post a longer paragraph, it seems like an eye sore for anyone reading it later to learn what you've taught me. Thank you Sir

If someone replies to your message, you can then reply to it without a problem.
We just don't want people replying to themselves. Since I replied to you, you can add content in a reply now.
And that's what enter keys and white space is for if you think you're building a wall of text.
So, where are you in the modding process, presuming you are using Softmod Any Wii Guide?
Now I get it!!! Thanks. I've either been double-posting or replying to myself for as long as I've been here, no one explained it so clearly, I'm grateful Mod. The Mauifrog guide went flawlessly, I'd never gotten past part 1 before. Ok, so it's all good but the game (new Disney Infinity with usb pad to attach) won't play unless my Wii is updated to the current state. I know we're not to update our modded Wii's so I'm stuck. If I'm allowed, I can post the "known issue" on Disney's Infinity site for you to see. Thanks so much
If the game is still asking you to update the system, then you didn't completely follow the guide. The end of Chapter 2 has you install and configure priiloader which will block disk and network based updating, if you configure it correctly.
If you've think you've done everything else and still having problems with it, post a fresh syscheck (link for how to do so is in my signature) and we can give you direction from there.
I should be more specific. The game isn't telling me anything, it's just failing to launch past the "connect the Infinity base". In Nintendo's fact base, it explains the reason Infinity won't launch is a non-updated Wii, and mine is surely that. I did install Priiloader properly and selected the things we're told to block, line-by-line. Of the entire guide, the only section I didn't "complete" was the update to 4.1 since I have a 4.1. I can post the Nintendo "fact base" link if permitted so you can see why I can't launch the game within a Wii that hasn't been updated. Thanks Oh, I also wasn't able to do the Neogamma R9 Beta 56 loader thing because the link was dead, but doubt it's relevant.

Are you trying to launch it from the disk? or from a USB loader?
If disk, it should work since your IOSs should be the same (for the most part) as a normal Wii (if you did the modding guide right).
If USB loading, then you have to pick the cIOS to run the game on. I'll check the skylander's guides to see what they say to use. You should probably use the same cIOS in the loader's game settings.
EDIT: http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/98...ure-guide.html This guide says to try 247 or 223. Try each of those in your USB loader game settings to see if either of them works.
If not, post a syscheck so we can see what you did to your system.
