    upgrading wii from 4.1E to 4.3E, a good idea?

    im currentky running 4.1E on my wii and it has been freshly softmodded by myself thanks to Guides Bot. i have everything all running sweet but i wasnt sure if the change was crucial.

    The main reason is there is no point, it offers nothing other than anti-homebrew measures, if u needed it we would have included it in the guide

    Installing all wads in Chapter 2 (ModPack and IOS Update) will get you current as if you updated a non-modded Wii to 4.3 using Nintendo Update (except for the cIOSs, of course). Menu level doesn't mean anything when it comes to the active components of your system, it's just the menu.

    A few specific types of brick can be cured via an update on a 4.1 (very specific types). If you're at 4.3, they would not be available to you due to being current. Also while hardly a strong considerations nowadays, hardmodders who are on 4.3 lose the ability to play out of region games on their Wii (doesn't apply to softmods, they have loader support).

    ok guys thanks for the heads up unfortunately i have a second wii thats been hacked and finished and is @ 4.3 to downgrade this is it ok to :-

    1 remove everything off the sd card and put it on the computer in a safe place.

    2 install and launch wiimod downgrade the system.

    3 apply everything back onto the sd card and use as normal?
