How do I split a WBFS file using WiiBackup Manager? (FAT32 USB drive, WBFS is >4GB)

I import the WBFS file, try transferring it to my USB drive as a WBFS, and when it's done I go check the USB drive and it's not there. While it's transferring, the folder for the WBFS is there on the USB drive, but when it's finished the folder disappears. Not sure what to do.

Fat32 sectors can't save one full file 4GB's is size to one folder. Have you scrubbed your file?

@nesplayer No, I wasn't under the impression that it's necessary. Is it?

@llaffer I did what the guide says yet the file doesn't transfer. When I open the log it says it couldn't read WBFS partition and that the transfer failed.

What game is it, and what is the file size? If it's truly a .wbfs file, it should already be scrubbed. I'm not wondering if it's a full blown .iso misnamed. If it's the size of an iso, maybe renaming the file to .iso and trying it again will work.

Worst case scenario, you may have to re-rip the original disk to get a clean .iso, doing so from a USB loader will properly install the .wbfs to the hard drive, splitting if needed.

YES I know this site doesn't support piracy, I have a legit copy but it's beat up and gets errors.

    OK. that's the right size.

The only other thing that I can think of is to check the NTFS guide, in the Mac section, I show a download called WiiJManager. It's written in Java, so should still run the same in windows. With that, it should take .wbfs files as input and output a split .wbfs set.

If that doesn't work, my guess is that it may be a bad rip. I'm out of ideas.

Tried to convert it from WBFS to WBFS in WiiJManager but it gives me an error message saying "This game with this format already exists in panel 1". The other options are to convert it to ISO, WDF, or Sneek.

Edit: I was able to split the file with Wii Game Manager.
