Thread: Input Lag Problem

    Input Lag Problem

    My softmodded Wii is DEFINITELY exhibiting input lag. I know for a fact that this is happening for at least VC games. I was playing Majora's Mask on VC, and noticed that there was input lag. I tried playing Majora's Mask on the Zelda Collector's Disc on my GameCube, and sure enough there was noticeably less input lag. Star Fox 64 on VC also seems to have the same amount of input lag as Majora's Mask VC. Why is this?

    So how many threads you gonna ask this in? There's this thread, that thread, and this one. Not trying to break your balls, but due --- c'mon. You can bump an existing thread after 24 hours.

    Sorry, but the one that got moved to the emulators section was never answered, and the Dios Mios one is about a different issue. I just want some answers.

    I walked away with either "long load times" or lag and pretty much concluded they may be related. Your recent posts seem without a SysCheck. Please do one as a reply to this thread. Directions and program itself can be found here.

    Not traditional lag, I'm talking about input lag (the time between a button press and the in-game reaction). It's unrelated to the Dios Mios load times, that problem occured because I defragged my USB HDD. I'll post a SysCheck in the morning.

    Are these channels installed directly to the console's NAND? It is very full?

    I had issues like that, when I had a lot installed to my NAND, and it was pretty much nearly full.
    Sent from my van, down by the river.

    I dl'ed these games before I modded so yeah I think they're on the NAND. You say you've had input lag before too? Did it happen only for games on your NAND?

    Sorry I still haven't posted a SysCheck, I'll do it as soon as I get home.

    It happened when I had too many games installed that way.
    It has been a couple years since I had that console, so I can't verify anything in real time, just using memory of what happened.

    Here's my SysCheck.

    Btw, oddgriffin, when you were having this problem, was it just for VC games, or for all types of games? Also did it happen only for games installed to the NAND, or for disc and USB/ SD games as well?

    @james:

    That SysCheck is about 99% of spec. The only thing I see as "off" is that IOS 80 isn't rev 54321 (rather, 16174) and you have Korean IOS (40-48). I think the Korean IOS are a result of the 4.3 update you performed at one time. Not sure why 80 is that revision but shouldn't affect your Softmod.
