is there a way to play games on GC other than the dvd's ?!

ok so i finally got a gamecube and playing eternal darkness now lol

but i feel that the lens is week

so i want to know if there is a way i can play the games from a usb or a hard disk or anything other than the dvd (the game cube is modded but i have to remove the top part in order to put the dvd)

if this is not possible then how can i clean the lens ?!

    thanks

edit: i saw on the site the wiikey fusion but i searched on google and can't find it so is there other way ? or anything else easy to make ?!

I'll tell you what I told another user:

FAT32 is the recommended method. If a game is greater than 4gb the file can be split in such a way that it works. That is covered in the FAT32 guide:

Also the question of losing retail GC game playing is mentioned in the DM guide. Why it's true for some and not others, not entirely sure. Read the guide.

The USB compatibility guides for both the Wii and GC is subjective and not meant as "only these."

Least I can do is move your thread to the GC section

I read a long while back about a program that, with a adapter, could load GC ISOs from a SD card. I think the program might have been called "Swiss".

Our retired emulator nut Darkcide posted about it here now that you mention it...

Edit: seems to be for the Wii and not the GC itself, you struck out just as I did lol
