Hi I'm New Here, plz help?

Hi, I'm an obvious noob. I am running wii system 4.3U on an old white wii with a GC2-DMS chipset.

A few months ago when the 4.3U update was released a friend of mine from out of town helped me perform the "Letter Bomb" soft mod. This worked great, eventually I was able to run USB Loader GX 3.0 and i used a 500GB Western Digital My Passport HDD (formatted to Fat) to load my back up game files.

I use a Macintosh and I don't own a Windows computer. At some point I learned Mac Osx will not allow You to load a file above 4GB onto an HDD- You get what is called "error 0". In my naive noob attempt to load my backup copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops to My HDD I created an RAR file to see if I could extract it directly to the HDD formatted as FAT16 or Fat32. Needless to say I am a fool and this didn't work. To top it all off My FATAL error was in forgetting to remove the RAR files from My HDD before plugging it back into my Wii to game. Right away USB Loader GX responded with "Exception Occured DSI Error" followed by a stackdump with a lot of code (I'm uploading a picture from my Phone that shows the error codes)

I am obviously no pro with computers, but I felt very comfortable toying with the the Wii and in the past I had to reinstall a few apps because i hadn't read the guides all the way through before installing. So of course like a moron I tried to download a few dif system checks from the Homebrew Channel- these gave me the same DSI Error.

Somehow I decided to reinstall Homebrew and I tried to run the Uninstall, which ran fine for a moment but "Exception DSI Error Occured' interrupted it's completion. upon rebooting HBC was gone.

That was a few days ago, I decided to stop and I read the full guide. Now I feel like I am ready to ask questions and actually learn how to do this correctly BUT when I tried to run the Letterbomb again I get a the "Exception DSI Error Occured" Msg when I try to install homebrew. I even clicked the update in the Wii Settings. I hope i am not a total fool. I sort of assumed it would fix whatever was wrong in the background of My wii...boy was i wrong :-/

at this point i have managed to get bootmii as boot2 but cannot install it as an IOS nor can I install HBC. Both just give me the same DSI Error.

I hope I did okay with my first post, please correct me if I am doing anything in a way the forum doesn't prefer- Your help would mean a lot to me as i am fully willing to be a contributing member of this Forum and have not found anyone asking these same questions.

    Thanx for your time
    -Duffy (the noob)

Please be aware that newer Wii's Do not play back up disc from the disc drive. Your only option will be to load from the Usb port.Usb Loading is recommeded as you will not have any lag and if your lazy like me,you won't have to get up to change the Disc.

Before you go out and spend money on a HDD for your Wii,make sure that it is on the Compatibility list. This will save you time and money.
