RegionFrii vs Brick blocker vs Update manger (Conflicting results)

    Hi all,

I just downloaded ten pin alley 2, i was told it is patched. I also changed the patch to doubly make sure on the regionfrii utility. Though when i went to brick block it , the info on brick blocker showed it as an ntsc iso. Though on regionfrii it was noted as pal.

On update manager it also says it is ntsc. Thus im confused again! Is it only showing ntsc because ive forced a region change? Or is regionfrii unreliable?

    Many thanks on this.

why do you even need that program o.x just boot in gecko OS

but in the end -,_-, if u dont care just give it a shot its not like P is gonna kill youre wii without a update

I ask as i am a bit noob at the moment on the wii hacks though still researching and getting more familiar.

I have installed starfall and thus didnt think i needed gecko os. But the problem of researching is, theres always that one person who tells you making your wii region free on starfall is outdated, and thus plants the seeds of doubt.

So the message is clear, if in doubt give it a blast?

so using a method thats 2 or so years old o.x is more logical?

starfall is good the reason its "dated" is because it works on only 3.2

My final question. So if i was to download ntsc games, even if the patch went wrongly, so long as i used brick blocker, and had starfall (with the region free settings) installed, i would not risk bricking my wii?

Many thanks again Admiral, youre a tough man, but with a heart of gold.

you dont need to brick block, just have starfall block updates, and then YOULL NEVER UPDATE BRICK you can still brick elsewhere

    Thumbs up

Super stuff. Thanks again Admiral. Youve made this soldier a very happy man on his day off!

    Salute!

P.s Just to finish this topic (on my part). Can i ask, by using ntsc games on a pal wii, does it brick due to the update? I.e if you had starfall region free wii it may work, or wouldnt, rather than brick your wii?

Just wanted to ask this last bit, sorry again Admiral!
