    Problem with Cfg USB Loader

    Hi,

I installed d2x v8 final on my wii and have cfg usb loader set up to load games off of my external drive. It works fine for my external HDD but when I tried using a different one with the same setup and same games, it loads the drive partition but not the games. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps the second hard drive is not fully compatible? Not formatted correctly? Not plugged into the right USB slot? Files not in the right place?

I have everything set up exactly the same on the second drive (wbfs folder with games stored using [gameID].wbfs). They're both NTFS and I plug them both into the slot closest to the edge. When I plug in the new HDD cfg loader finds it but says there are no games on the drive. When I switch back to the original drive it finds them perfectly.

try ripping a game disk onto the second drive using CFG's install function (+ key on remote), see where it places it (new directories, etc.).

I'll try that but I didn't bring the wii to school so it'll have to wait until this weekend.

Also where would I check to see if the partition is active? Something I can do without the wii?

You'll have to use some sort of Hard Drive partitioning tool to check (and change if needed) a partition to primary, using a computer. This is the one that I use: http://www.partition-tool.com/download.htm

Idk why that worked but it did. Installing the disc put it right into the ends folder but I guess it made the wii recognize it. Thanks!

Please edit your posts instead of double-posting. I'll merge them for now.

EDIT: lol - someone beat me to it. I've never seen a merge fail before. That was weird.
