Neogamma giving the error:Disc not a wii/gc game
New to the scene here
Just softmodded my wii
I installed the neogamma dvd reader thingie r9
i burnt the legend of zelda iso to a TDK 4.7 gb disc
at a speed of 8x on a Leopard Mac with the disk utilty
The disc just shows the iso file if you open it on the mac
When i put it in the wii and start neogamma frm the homebrew channel
it says "disc not a wii/gc game"
Pls help urgently
No kidding. 8X? TDK? And what wiihacks guide told you to do that? Did you even follow the wiihacks guide for softmodding? Just curious.
Yeah i did
but the only discs i could get my hands on were TDK
I live in South Africa and I asked my mom to head out and buy some discs
I followed mauifrogs letterbomb guide i think
I tried a slower speed didnt help
but if i could get my hands on a usb then it would work
but if u have a fix for discs pls help me
TDK = poor media, CMC MAG media ID in 99.9% of cases. You should use quality media (Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden) and burn at 2x or 4x. Do other backups work? Newer Wiis can't play backups via optical drive (DVD). You could perform a SysCheck as described here as a reply to this thread, if you'd like...
my wii is from 2008
so if i use better discs it should work?
Even though neogamma isnt recognising the discs as wii discs?
I have a verbatim disc here but it has Win7 on it and its only 2.38 gb even though on box says 4.7
tells me cant erase
anyway to bypass this
im on mac
is that fine
i have a 4gb flashdrive formatted to wbfs
anyway to reduce the size of wii iso

Dude, seriously? You think 4 STRAIGHT POSTS is the way to do this? Really? Answer: it is NOT.
Wat do u mean?
Im simply giving feedback as i try things?
Didnt realise that
Is there anyway to reduce the size of wii iso
My copy of zelda skyward sword is really badly scratched
I made a copy of it a while ago but i dnt hav any means to play it besides the tdk discs and my 4gb flash
If anyone knows how to compress wii isos(ive tried scrubbing then zipping, didnt reduce size)
Pls tell me
Dat would be awesome
Apologies, bad info (this is an edit). It's a single layered image, but won't reduce to less than 4gb. Same bottom line result as prior to my edit (won't fit).
