System Update failing - will Brew channel (or any other soft mods) affect that?
I recently want to the Wii Shop Channel to try and add a new channel, and it is forcing me to load a system update in order to reach the shop channel. My current channel 4.3u, but it looks like there was some kind of update released in December 2012 affecting the shop channel.
When I try to run the update, I get an error 32007. According to Nintendo, this means I am timing out, however I am hard wired to my router on a cable connection, and my connection speeds are pretty darn good. I work from home and pay extra for the higher speeds, so...
Everything else that accesses the internet from the Wii works fine (e.g. weather channel, news). The internet connection test itself passes. But the system update fails almost before it begins, it quits immediately.
The Nintendo page that lists if anything is wrong with the network is clear.
I'm kind of at a loss at this point. I do have the homebrew channel installed. I also have the "USB Loader GX" and "Wii Flow" channels loaded. I think that's pretty much it however. I was wondering if any of these thing would prevent a system update from occurring?
Also, is there a "plan B"? Namely, is there a way to download and run a system update manually? From the SD card perhaps? I'm open to suggestions.
This is a Wii-U problem how? If you find my question curious, please consider where you posted this. As for your "problem," get with the program, lol.

He could be asking about his vWii (I have never used mine, it does have the Shop Channel right?)

@SNES: that's what they pay me the big bucks for, lmao!
@Todd: done. Make sure you click the "get with the program" link to answer your question.
Thanks to everyone in the thread. The link provided was a huge help and solved the problem. Not sure why my initial search (tried searching the site using keyword "system update") returned no results. But you folks got me to the info I needed quickly, and I got right into the shopping channel as needed.
