    New & Need Help

Hello I'm New to the forums and this is my first question on the forums

Recently i have soft modded my Wii by paying Someone to do it for me on craigslist

everything seems to work fine until i run the Homebrew Apps apps on my wii and for some reason my Wii

remote tends to disconnect I've checked my HDD where he installed it from everything and The Homebrew

Update file is from 2009 and as for rest of the homebrew apps and i was wondering do i need to delete all

the apps in the App Folder and update them to the current 2012?

    Thanks for helping

You have conflicting information in there. You say your mod is from 2009, but have HBC 1.1.2 installed. We recommend using 1.1.0 for Wii HBC (1.1.2 is meant for use on a Wii U to run homebrew in vWii mode).

You likely have out of date files since your mod (not only your apps, but the cIOS files within it) are four years old.

The remote is disconnecting because the apps do not know how to handle the most recent iteration of the Wii Remote with Motion Plus built in. Updating some of your apps may fix this, but other aspects still may not work as you want due to the age of your modded system.

I'd recommend that you remod your system using our most recent guide. A link to the "Softmod Any Wii" guide can be found in my signature.

The guide is lengthy, but brutally detailed. If you can read and follow step-by-step instructions, you should be able to mod your own system without having to pay someone to do it.

When you get to chapter 3, it will give you updated versions of some common apps to load games from USB and a HomeBrew Browser application that will give you access to many other apps to choose from which are downloadable and will auto-install directly from the app to your SD card.

So, read the guide, start at the top and when you have to choose your method of installing HBC/HackMii, you can choose the "For systems with HomeBrew Channel already installed" and go from there.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them in the guide's reply chain.
