How new is that second Wii? Does it read any other backup discs?
I burned super smash bros brawl on a dual layer disc and it works perfectly on my wii but when i run it on my secound wii system ( which is up to date thanks to the soft mod any wii guide ) its not reading at all i get a no disc error even Neo gamma gives me a Error i think its 030323a. My retail copy of brawl work on my second Wii but not the burned copy. can anyone help with this problem ?
Retail copy works
Burned copy works
Retail copy works
Burned copy does not work
i bought it used long ago so not sure how old it is and yeah i've played few other burned games on it but this being the first dual layer

Sounds to me like the drive either needs cleaned or is on its way out. Try cleaning the laser first to see if that helps.
I thought it was the lens to but my retail copy works along with other games perfectly i don't get it but by cleaning the lens u mean buying that wii lens cleaner Disc ? I wonder if re-installing darkcrop on my second wii will fix this because soft mod anywii guide removed it.

Dual layer games are notoriously hard on the Wii laser, let alone a burned game rather than a factory pressed game. I have no issues playing SSBB from HDD using the same cIOS that is in the ANY Wii guide, so that cant be the issue. Laser going bad/dirty would be the only explanation, that I can see anyways.
Bad/dirty lens was the result i kept running into while seraching for an answer before coming here but those people that were having the same problem as me couldn't even run the retail copy of Brawl so this is why i was confused. Since my wii's lens is in the early stages of getting bad should i stop using burned backup wii games ? because i was gonna get the compressed single layer disc version of Brawl. Also my USB ports are no longer working so that isn't an option for me

A replacement laser is cheap on the ebays. Maybe you should look into replacing it. We have guides here that show you how to take apart your Wii (with some screwdrivers, not a sledgehammer lol)
True a replacement is inevitable may as well look in to it. Wish i could just blow on the system disc drive and everything is fixed K thanks for helping me out cjizzle
