Should I get an old Wii?

I have an opportunity to get the Gamecube port Wii and I was wondering if you guys think this is worth the grab? I guess only thing I would be out is some time to mod it. My current Wii is almost brand new from just before christmas.

That depends on what you want to do with it. I would go for an old boot2 bootmii wii, not sure if I would go for one with gc ports. It really depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to play with gc games, sure. Or if you want to explore the various ways to recovery a bricked wii, sure. If you are happy now, probably not.

I've been on Wii modding fix for a bit now and of course I get volunteered to do the nephews etc.. Do all the units that have the Gamecube port allow you to install to the Wii so the bricking is easier to recover from?

On your harddrive (file name: Bliepo.crazy)
Gamecube ports indeed offer some extra brick recovery options, like savemiifrii.
Awesome sig picture does not work
