Updated Petition for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask HD Remake on Wii U

This past summer, two video game industry veterans challenged Nintendo to breathe new life into an N64 classic, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Pablo Belmonte and Paco Martinez released a teaser trailer on YouTube in July 2012 that showcased a familiar Majora’s Mask sequence only with souped-up HD graphics and sound; easily transporting the original into the modern era.
At inception, rumors spread like wildfire. Bloggers and media outlets claimed that Nintendo accidentally leaked the video, with buzz that Majora’s Mask for the Wii U was already in the works. After a little bit of digging and a hearty serving of fact-checking, it was confirmed that the YouTube video was in fact an unofficial project made by Belmonte and Martinez for Nintendo to propose a Majora’s Mask Wii U remake. The reality is, this is a fan project so there is no telling if Nintendo will respond favorably. As a huge fan of The Legend of Zelda, I would love to see one of the most unique installments to the series in fully-fledged HD brilliance. Recently, a fan-made petition circled the web in support of Majora’s Mask Wii U. It has since expired and a new petition has been made. If you would like to show your support for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask Wii U remake, please visit the following link.“We are creating this small test for the ‘big N’ as a proposal to make this project come true. We work in the game industry and we fell in love with this idea a long time ago. The music is totally provisional. We worked for a long time in concepts and designs, but for the real production we spent only one (hard) week, that’s the reason of some “bugs” in animations and post-production that we want to fix soon. We hope that you enjoy and help us with your support.”

I really want this happening.
Oh man! Please let it come to fruition.
Don't everyone gang up on me, but I think I'd rather see an HD remake for Wind Waker.
Nah man, WW is still pretty recent, and has too much water[ I hate water in games] in itOriginally Posted by SNES_Master
MM on the other hand is older and in my opinion better.
Don't get me wrong, ill grab either one, but first MM
To be honest I love the Zelda series but I would rather an a Link to the past HD remake.
True, my first vote would have been OOT but seeing as to they did the 3DS version that seems less likely. Still Wind Waker was, IMO, one of the best Zelda's (I agree about the too much water thing though lol) I just liked the art style and the story...I really liked the story about Link and his sister.Originally Posted by 2Hack
Honestly, I haven't played either MM or WW....
Although after reading the synopsis about MM on IGN:
I must say that sounds really cool. Perhaps my remarks concerning the Zelda series were a bit premature.Majora's Mask features vintage Legend of Zelda gameplay with a three-day twist, including all the swordplay, boomerang throwing and clever puzzles introduced into the 3D realm by Ocarina of Time. Time passes as you explore the overworld -- but each minute truly counts in Termina. If you don't save someone on the first day, it may be too late on the next. There are no time-outs in Majora's Mask. After 72 (game time) hours, the world ends because an evil, grinning moon crashes into the planet. There is of course Link's compact time machine: the Ocarina. But Link can only jump backwards to the first day of his adventure, which means pretty much everything he accomplished since then is effectively erased. How do you stop the world from ending when there is no way to explore everything in three days and if all you do becomes meaningless anyway the moment you travel back in time?
Actually, what I would do if I were Shigeru Miyamoto would be to take the entire franchise and create two unique storylines, the Legend of Zelda storyline and the Adventure of Link storyline. Each would be mutually independent (no link in Zelda's story, and vice versa). Only years down the road, after each series has multiple titles under their belt (with a progressing storyline< no more rebooting to tell the same story), then there would be one grand-fantazmic merging of the two storylines, where Link finally has to save Zelda.
I would even incorporate Ganon into Link's storyline, where Link helps him in some way before he turned to the "dark side." This would put the responsibility for Zelda's predicament squarely on Link's shoulders. His sense of responsibility would be the predicate for his involvement.
Lol, my prayer was answered. Wind Waker is getting a HD Wii U remake
Now if they make a GC style "Pro Controller" I'll be really happy
